magento professional phasing out migration

On February 1, 2012 Magento announced the end-of-life of Magento Professional edition.

Phasing out Magento Professional will allow Magento to focus their efforts and investments on enhancing Magento Enterprise, Enterprise Premium and Magento Community solutions.

We offer migration and upgrade services for Magento Editions. So if you have a Magento Professional store, we can offer migration service to from Magento Professional edition to Magento Enterprise, Magento Enterprise Premium or Magento Community.

Here is some important information for Magento Professional store owners:

First of all, there will be no immediate impact to your Magento Professional license. Your current subscription will remain in effect until the renewal date on your contract.

You will have several different options following the expiration of your Magento Professional license:

1. Maintain your existing license for another year ($2,995)

You may choose to renew your Magento Professional subscription for up to one year after your renewal date, with the same terms and conditions specified in your original contract. At the end of that year, you will have the option of upgrading to Magento Enterprise or Magento Go at list price.

2. Remain on Magento Professional in perpetuity ($5,995)

Magento offering you the option of remaining on Magento Professional as long as you choose. The license will be yours, and you will assume all responsibilities for support and maintenance.

3. Upgrade to Magento Enterprise at an introductory price of $5,995

Magento offer the opportunity to upgrade your Professional Edition subscription to an Enterprise Edition subscription at a significantly reduced rate for the first year.

Magento Enterprise's exclusive features can take your business to the next level. And all Enterprise Edition subscriptions are backed by Magento Support, ensuring peace of mind as you focus on growing your business.

You will be able to choose Magento Enterprise with Gold Support for a one-time price of $5,995 per server (reduced from $12,990) or Magento Enterprise with Platinum Support for a one-time price of $6,995 per server (reduced from $15,588). The price reduction will apply to your first-year subscription; subsequent years will renew at full price. You will be able to upgrade to any version of Magento Enterprise from v1.8 on, and you will have access to all subsequent upgrades.

4. Move to Magento hosted solution, Magento Go

You may also choose to move to Magento Go when your current subscription ends.
